People to People AID Organization, Canada (P2P) is a non-profit charitable organization founded in 1999 by concerned individuals from the Toronto Ethiopian community to contribute to the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Since its founding two major objectives have been pursued — providing support for those affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Ethiopia and increasing awareness about HIV/AIDS in the Ethiopian community in the Greater Toronto Area.

SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY: OUR HEALTH OUR LAWS
P2P is happy to announce that it has recently begun a project entitled, “Supporting Our Community: Our Health Our Laws” through funding from the Law Foundation of Ontario. P2P in collaboration with the HIV/AIDS Legal Clinic of Ontario (HALCO), Women’s Health in Women’s Hands (WHIWH), and Africans in Partnership Against AIDS (APAA) will be providing legal education training in the areas of human rights, immigration, and criminal law as they relate to people living with HIV/AIDS. The training will target faith-based leaders and community workers such as front-line, settlement, health and youth workers in the African-Canadian Communities of the Greater Toronto Area. We believe that this project will build on the knowledge of key community intermediaries on HIV/AIDS and the law and forge partnership among community organizations.
