Of the estimated 17 million children who have lost one or both parents to AIDS, 90% reside in Sub-Saharan Africa. 

An estimated 220,000 children became newly infected with HIV in 2014, 190,000 of them in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Approximately 730,000 people live with HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia.

An estimated 557, 934 children lost one or both parents due to AIDS in Ethiopia.

In Ethiopia, approximately 110,000 children live with HIV/AIDS.


People to People Aid Organization (Canada) is a non-profit  organization founded in 1999 in the City of Toronto by a group of concerned Ethiopian-Canadians with the commitment to reversing the spread of HIV/AIDS and other preventable diseases. In addition to its focus on HIV/AIDS, P2P has also been working on other emerging health issues  in Canada and Sub-Saharan Africa with particular focus on Ethiopia. 






P2P will be participating in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon Charity Challenge on Sunday, October 21, 2018! This will be our 6th year taking part in this event and we welcome all of our friends and supporters to join us by walking or running 5K, Half Marathon, or Full Marathon in support of children in need. You will have the opportunity to raise funds by having your walk or run sponsored by friends, family and colleagues.
