Who we are?

Established in 1999, People to People Aid Organization, Canada, Inc (P2P) has been instrumental in the global fight against HIV/AIDS, particularly in supporting orphaned and vulnerable children in Ethiopia. P2P has provided essential assistance such as food, shelter, and medical care, alongside educational support for thousands of children. Initially focused on HIV/AIDS awareness, P2P has evolved its mandate to include mental health advocacy and preventive healthcare programs, with a specific focus on the Ethio-Canadian Community in the GTA. As a volunteer-driven organization, P2P's success is owed to the dedication of its volunteers who tirelessly support its activities.

The true character of society is revealed in how it treats its children.

Our Vision

People to People Canada (P2P) envisions a future where Healthy Living awareness and resources are readily available and accessible for all parts of society, especially within vulnerable communities. We also envision a future in which epidemics like hiv, Malaria and TB that inflict and kill large populations in developing countries are eradicated, and all vulnerable groups including children get full opportunity to live healthy and productive lives within caring communities and a sustainable environment.

Our Mission

Our mission is to contribute to addressing the full range of health determinants (physical, social, economic and cultural) and support the creation and sustenance of community health programs within the communities we live in. Our mission also includes providing meaningful and sustainable support to victims of epidemics, especially orphans and vulnerable children in Ethiopia and the horn region.

Our Commitment

  • To play an active role in promoting healthy living in our communities through community awareness, education and mobilization engagements on key determinants of health (physical, social, economic, and cultural) with a primary focus on mental health.

  • To contribute to building the capacity of the health care system in Ethiopia and the horn region, especially around reducing preventable diseases (hiv/aids, Malaria and Tuberculosis) as well as supporting orphans and vulnerable children who have lost their parents to those epidemics.
